Advisor for Technology & Finance

A passionate officer in many clubs, co-founder of Citizens of Tomorrow, Jacky leads the technology , auditing , public relationship and marketing divisions this year to support operation team and ensure COT provides valuable and memorable weekly sessions to both volunteers and students. Jacky has also developed 15+ automations and 3 web applications for COT. Jacky is very proud to be part of this successfully student led non-profit organization

President of Technology & Finance

Jiayu Fan is the President of IT/Finance this year. He is experienced with programming and IT knowledge which makes him capable of guiding his team to develop convenient programs to manage daily operations. Jiayu hopes that with his effort, COT can help more people in the community in need. Outside of COT, he enjoys reading, playing piano, and exercising.

Vice President of Technology & Finance

As the Vice President of IT/Finance, Boon Bin Tong (Bryan) leads a team that is eager to grasp the inner workings of Citizens of Tomorrow and learn the ropes that keep it running. He ensures that everyone in his division is engaged and that the organization continues to function smoothly. Outside of Citizens of Tomorrow, Bryan devotes much of his time to reading, video editing, and the viola.

Hello, I'm Sophie! I am a rising sophomore and director of COT's Finance Department for 2023-2024. I'm passionate about teaching people all around the world a language I love, English. It makes me delighted to see people actively engage in learning such a wonderful language. I also feel that COT has improved my leadership skills and ability to teach in a patient, positively impactful way. In my leisure time, I enjoy playing piano, drawing, and being outdoors.

As the Director of Web Applications, Amy utilizes her web development and software skills to improve the COT website. Her bilingualism helps her lead weekly English-learning sessions for elementary students, and she is dedicated to both her volunteer and officer positions.

I am looking forward to being part of the web development crew and cant wait to see what COT can accomplish this coming year. Outside of COT I enjoy reading, baking, cooking, and being outdoors.

Manager of Web Applications

As a soon-to-be high school graduate, Jason is excited to take on any opportunity to use his skills to create positive change in the world. In addition to the teaching responsibilities shared by all members, Jason utilizes his skills in coding to manage development and maintenance of organization web applications.

Lakshmi Vemula is a junior at Highland Park High School and is excited to be a part of the COT leadership team this year. She loves playing the flute, writing poetry, and teaching English to students in her free time. As an officer, she's looking forward to helping the organization run smoothly and working together with others to improve COT for everyone.

Boon Kai Tong (Ben) is a middle schooler at Rice. His duty is to do the coding for the COT website. He is eager to learn and willing to spend his time to make the website better. He likes to play chess, read books, swim and volunteer during his free time.
