COT EOY Party - May 2025

The 2024-2025 COT volunteer year has come to an end, but the COT volunteer spirit has not! On May 25, volunteers from around the metroplex gathered at Oak Point Recreation Center to celebrate this year’s achievements. This event began with networking and setup.

The meeting started with the 2024-2025 officers briefing over what each department accomplished in the past year. They summarized the improvements they made within COT in terms of automation, efficiency, and outreach. They also shared the goals that they want to focus on in the years to come. Each milestone was incredible, and they could only be made possible with the efforts of every officer who was a part of it. Amazing work to the officers, and a big thank you to the PTA who supported every step of the journey!

Awards and recognition were given to outstanding COT volunteers. These overachieving students demonstrated dedication in areas such as leadership and service, and they all showed efforts to make COT better and deliver the organization’s purpose to the community. Following the award ceremony, the 2025-26 year officers were announced. These officers portrayed copious amounts of leadership and commitment in the past year, and they are deserving for the role and requirements for the upcoming year. Afterward, an officer from each division was chosen to speak about their experience in COT and provide words of encouragement for the other members. After all, nothing could be made possible without the service of each and every volunteer!

The event paused with a brief intermission for snacks and refreshments that the PTA prepared. Fruits, sushi, and cakes were provided for the members, and everyone enjoyed the snacks while also taking the time to continue networking.

The celebration ended with an interactive activity…Pictionary! Each member was engaged, and it was a fun game that ended the year with a stronger team bond.

Congrats to an impressive year, and congrats to all the new officers! Thank you to all the members, supervisors, and PTA for making COT possible!
