This year, the 2022-2023 Citizens of Tomorrow End of Year party was held at the Oak Point Parks and Recreation Center. On June 25th, volunteers all around the area gathered to celebrate another successful year as well as the many successful achievements made by the organization this year. The party began with some final touches to the set up and networking. Then the division summaries were covered. Each division achieved phenomenal things and hit many incredible milestones that the organization strived to achieve this year. The summaries ended with many positive notes and after the division summaries were finished, we moved onto the award ceremony and senior recognition!

Over 50 people were recognized and appreciated for their hard work and contributions throughout the year. Awards were also handed out to the seniors of the 2022-2023 year and as awards were handed out, everyone thanked them for their contributions and wished them well for their future journeys into college. After the award ceremony and a couple of pictures of the recipients, there was a small snack break.

After everyone finished eating, the team-building activities began. The first game that was played was an online Kahoot game. Everyone had fun and enjoyed this game by teaming up to climb the leaderboard, which helped in breaking the ice and increasing our teamwork skills! The next game we played was a real challenge and really forced all of the CoT members to work together. After a couple of instructions, we played the human knot game. With around 10-12 people in each team, the game was very tricky but resulted in a lot of fun and some good memories made! The final game that was played was a team game of charades. Both teams went up against each other to win in a game where teamwork was key. Without being able to speak, the game really pushed each team to work together and by the end of the team-building activities, the group of volunteers had made more connections with each other.

After the games, a special plush gift was handed out to each volunteer as a thank-you for showing up to the End of Year party. A large group picture was taken with every volunteer and their plushies for a fun commemoration of this year’s EOY party! Finally, the officers wrapped things up and officially ended the CoT 2022-2023 EOY party. Every volunteer spent time after the party cleaning up and clearing the room so the end of the party came to a smooth end as everyone gave appreciation to all of the volunteers and directors who were able to make the EOY party a success for this year.

As CoT wrapped up a great year, we all continue to wish for another successful year for 2023-2024!
