DFWweCare August 2024

On August 10, 2024, COT volunteers joined DFWweCARE and community partners at Central Elementary School in Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD for a Back-to-School Drive supporting local students. 

COT student volunteers participated in the hands-on preparation of the backpacks, helping ensure that each Pre-K through 5th grade student received the essential school supplies needed for a successful start to the school year. Volunteers also assisted with setting up the event and supporting the activities taking place throughout the day.

The Back-to-School Drive was more than simply distributing school supplies. It brought together community organizations, volunteers, students, families, and school representatives in a shared effort to support children in need. The event also included cultural performances and community activities, creating a welcoming and celebratory atmosphere for students and their families.

Through teamwork and service, our volunteers helped local students start the new school year with the supplies, encouragement, and support they needed.
