Meet the Presidents 2025 - 2026
Richard Wang
President of Operations and Logistics
Richard is a rising senior at St. Mark’s School of Texas. As the President of Operations, Richard tracks student and volunteer attendance, helps with outreach and communications through various platforms, and helps with the weekly schedule. Having taught at COT for four years, Richard is excited to lead the Operations team this year and hopes to continue making an impact around the world.
Sophie Yu
President of PR and Marketing
Hello, I'm Sophie! I am a rising senior and Vice President of COT's Public Relationship & Marketing Department for 2025-2026. As Vice President, I am committed to expand COT’s outreach and presence among the community. I’m passionate about teaching people all around the world a language I love, English. Being an avid member of COT for four years, I have taught basic elementary, senior, and adult classes. It makes me delighted to see people actively engage in learning such a wonderful language. I also feel that COT has improved my leadership skills and ability to teach in a patient, positively impactful way. In my leisure time, I enjoy playing piano, drawing, and being outdoors.
Yufei Zhou
President of Program Planning and Developing
As the President of Program Planning and Development at COT, Yufei helps keep things running smoothly by updating weekly lessons, sharing the monthly syllabus, and supporting the other officers. Now in her fifth year with COT, she also teaches weekly classes, creating engaging lessons that help students feel more confident with English. Outside of COT, Yufei enjoys drawing and reading.
Boon Kai (Ben ) Tong
President of Technology and Finance
Boon Kai Tong (Ben) is a sophomore at Jasper High School with a deep passion for technology, problem-solving, and innovation. As the current President of Technology, Finance, PR and Marketing at COT, he focuses on ensuring smooth operations across all digital platforms and supports the team by resolving technical issues and introducing new tools to enhance communication and engagement. A competitive chess player and avid board gamer, Ben enjoys connecting with others through strategy and shared experiences. Outside of COT, he volunteers to help Chinese-speaking students improve their English and often spends time swimming or playing chess with his older brother, Bryan. With focus, curiosity, and a collaborative spirit, Ben is committed to growing COT’s tech capabilities and supporting its mission through innovation.
Josephina Qiu
President of HR and Admin
Josephina Qiu is a senior at the Greenhill School and enjoys volunteering weekly in COT English sessions to help improve communication and advocacy skills of international students. As President of Human Resources and Administration, Josephina manages logistical organization behind the scenes of COT, and leads projects related to fundraising and event planning. Her goal is to continue streamlining COT organizational performance and grow the organization to help even more students across the world. In her free time, Josephina enjoys playing the violin and competes in debate.
