The President’s Volunteering Service Award
In 2003, the President’s Council on Service and Civic Participation founded the President’s Volunteer Service Award to recognize the important role of volunteers in America’s strength and national identity. This award honors individuals whose service positively impacts communities in every corner of the nation and inspires those around them to take action, too. Led by the Corporation for National and Community Service and managed in partnership with Points of Light, this program allows Certifying Organizations to recognize their most exceptional volunteers.
Citizens of Tomorrow (COT) is a registered PVSA certifying organization. The current PVSA reporting cycle is from 8/1/2021 to 7/31/2022. If you have participated in our organized events in the past 12 months at least 50 hours and are interested in applying for the President Volunteer Service Award through COT, please follow the following steps.
Step 1: Please note that not all of your community service hours may be qualified for PVSA. We strongly recommend that you review the PVSA volunteer eligibility at the PVSA website carefully before submitting the application.
All service hours must fall between 8/1/2021 to 7/31/2022.
Only U.S. citizens and permanent residents are qualified for PVSA applications.

Review which award you can qualify for based on your hours: bronze, silver, or Gold.
Step 2: Send your volunteer hour log for hours outside of COT. We have your volunteer hours with COT logged in system. Submit your application to hr@citizensoftomorrow.org by 08/14/2022.
